The Independent Luncheon will feature Bill Schrier, CTO of Seattle and Chris Vein, CIO of San Francisco, discussing their cities' broadband activities and aspirations. Joanne Hovis, CEO of Columbia Telecommunications Corp. (CTC), will introduce the speakers. The luncheon is part of a regular series of business lunches sponsored by The Independent, Lafayette's independent weekly newspaper. Cherry Fisher May, publisher of The Independent Weekly, will moderate this session. FiberFête participants will have an opportunity to mingle with several hundred of Lafayette's business leaders and prominent citizens.
